Java Expertise

Well, yeah, Java is kind of my element.

I started to dive into the world of Suns, Coffee and Beans in 1997 or so when I helped the development of a complex AWT (and later Swing) application. Of course that beast was way too slow for a Pentium PC with 256MB of Ram (which was more than the average computer had at these times).

Anyway, the way was paved for a more thorough investment into the Java language and the ever increasing ecosystem around it.

Sinve 1999 I have been constantly developing and designing Java applications in various fields for the most diverse environments:

• Java batch backend systems that are design to process a massive amount of data in minimal time. Those systems where most of the time meant to run on Sun Spark or AIX machines. We though once developed for HP NonStop/Tandem as well.
• Client Server applications.
• J2EE web applications with Java Server Faces (JSF)
• Eclipse RCP applications
• Groovy / Grails web applications
